7-Up Biscuits

Let me tell you a secret. It's about these amazingly easy biscuits. These are so easy,  I make them lots of mornings before I head out the door to work. It takes less than 10 minutes effort to get these into the oven.

Who would have thought that combining 4 ingredients could come up with these delicious biscuits. They are simpler to make than traditional biscuits because you are not putting any effort into cutting cold butter into flour. Just combine everything, stir, knead a few times and you are good to go!
It's so simple and so delicious.

7-Up Biscuits
serves 2-3

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup 7-Up or ginger ale or other lemon lime soda (I used a ginger ale made with real sugar and no corn syrup)
1/4 butter, melted

Preheat oven to 425.

In a bowl combine flour and baking powder. Stir in sour cream and 7-up. Mix with spatula until the dough just starts to come together. Turn out on the counter. Fold dough onto itself a few times and knead until it stays together.

Pat the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Using a biscuit cutter of desired size, cut out your biscuits.

Pour melted butter into bottom of an 8x8 baking dish.  Place biscuits into the melted butter.

Bake at 425 for 15-20 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown.

Enjoy!
