This is the BEST cinnamon bread EVER. It is delicious toasted. However because of the way it is made, you must slice it thick and put it in the oven or toaster oven to make toast. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get out of the toaster.
Cinnamon Roll Bread
Yeast Prep:
1/2 cup warm milk
1/2 cup warm water
1 (1/4th oz.) package yeast
2 tsp. sugar
Bread dough:3 cups all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp. softened butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Filling:
4 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. + 2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Egg wash:
1 egg + 2 Tbs. warm water
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup warm milk
1/2 cup warm water
1 (1/4th oz.) package yeast

Egg wash:
1 egg + 2 Tbs. warm water
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Heat the milk and water until it reaches a temperature of 100-110 degrees. Combine the warm milk, water, yeast and 2 teaspoons sugar in a 2 cup measuring cup and let sit until foamy (about ten minutes). Make sure to use a large enough measuring cup or bowl, or else it will overflow.
While the yeast is activating, combine the flour, 1/3 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons butter, salt and 1 tablespoon cinnamon in bowl of a stand mixer. Using a paddle attachment, start to mix on slow. Slowly pour in the water mixture while the machine is running. Increase speed to high, mixing until smooth and elastic.
Spray a large bowl with cooking spray. Form dough into a large ball, place in bowl. Cover with a cloth and let rise for 90 minutes in a warm spot.
Combine all the filling ingredients, mixing until combined.
After the dough has risen to double its size, roll out with a rolling pin on a floured surface to a long rectangle. The longer the better! (It should only be as wide as your loaf pan though!) Smear the filling mixture all over the top, pressing lightly to adhere to the dough. Roll up as tightly as possible. (It will fall apart if it's not tight enough!)
Place in a greased loaf pan, cover with cloth and let rise for about an hour in a warm spot.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk together the egg and warm water then brush all over loaf. Combine cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle over the loaf.
Bake for approximately 40 minutes. Carefully remove from pan. Let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
